The Department of Human Services Innaloo Service Centre relocated from 37 Ellen Stirling Boulevard to 40 Hasler Road, Osborne Park, on Monday 27 November.
All staff who were delivering Centrelink and Medicare services at Innaloo have moved to the new, purpose designed site in nearby Osborne Park.
Department of Human Services General Manager Hank Jongen said the move was necessary because the department was unable to extend its lease at Innaloo.
“Planned redevelopment of the Innaloo shopping precinct means the department was unable to renew its lease there,” Mr Jongen said.
“While the department’s service centre is now under a different roof, I can assure the community all services are continuing locally as usual.
“The new Osborne Park service centre has been refurbished ahead of the move and has a purpose-designed layout and the latest digital self-service facilities.
“Face-to-face services are continuing unchanged with staff available to help all residents, including those who are vulnerable, experiencing hardship, or who have complex Centrelink or Medicare business.
“Anyone with routine government business should sign-up for online services such as myGov or the department’s Express Plus mobile apps. These self-service options are the quickest and easiest way to take care of simple tasks, and are available whenever and wherever your mobile device has internet connectivity.”
Medicare and Centrelink services are available from the new service centre Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
